  • About the Artist

Among the leading Italian informal sculptors of the twentieth century, Somaini overcomes the success on a worldwide scale with the 1st international prize for sculpture assigned on the occasion of the Biennial of São Paulo in Brazil in 1959. He linkes his commercial fortune to the Galleria Blu and the Odyssia Gallery in New York , which places his sculptures in the main American collections (Rockefeller, Philip Johnson etc.). His works are present in the collections of the major museums in the world. Others are located in public spaces in the United States, Italy, Japan, etc.
