Fong Jia Lok was born in 1997, and currently lives and works in Kuala Lumpur. He graduated from the Fine Art department at Dasein Academy of Art in 2018. He is interested in using charcoal, pigment pen, and oil paint to produce his work.

The Tendencies of a Human Being is an exhibition that showcases a series of works by Fong Jia Lok. Inspired by the curious nature of current cultures and trends, this exhibition features works that express Fong's perception of how humans behave and lose their own identity in today's culture. He portrays the nature of everyday people in response to societal circumstances and expectations through his own personal observation of his surroundings. Jia Lok has also taken part in different group exhibitions organized by Taksu KL and Segaris Art Centre. His works include seemingly similar tiny figures, symbolizing the interaction between people, community and culture.
