Ojembarrena received his first education in drawing and painting at the Fine Arts School of the California State University at San Bernardino. After, in Spain, he has studied painting with Agustín Reche, Professor of the Fine Arts School of the University of the Basque Country, for ten years approximately. Ojembarrena has lived in Spain, the United States and South Africa. During the years that he has spent in South Africa, his work has appeared regularly at the White Space in Cape Town.
