Domenic Esposito's sculptures symbolize the injustices of humanity within our society. He started his personal and controversial project by creating a large eight hundred pound, ten foot metal replication of a simple household ustensil, modified for use as a tool to cook and inject opioids. Through his art, he aims to bring awarness about drug addiction, which devastates countless lives and families worlwide. In his "corrupted" sculptures, the artist explores the pressure, struggle and pain in a society that has left us increasingly powerless against vices and dependencies.

Domenic Esposito is living in Greater Boston. His first career was in business, but as the opioid epidemic hit close to home, he dedicated his life to activism and awareness of the disease. Esposito has shown work nationally at New York City’s Scope Art Fair, Florida’s ArtPalmBeach Fair, and Chicago’s SOFA Fair, to name a few. He was awarded the Dorry Awards for Public Sculpture and interviewed by New York Times for the guerrilla installations of the Opioid Spoon Project.
