The intensely-coloured, abstract work of Carolin Israel (born 1990 in Chemnitz) leaves room for one’s own mind games. Carolin Israel allows personal memories, hints and re- ferences to flow into her work. Her painting is a constant quest for complex forms and colours, an interplay and an opposition, an allusion and a positioning. It is this clarity amidst unclarity that constitutes the fascination of her paintings, which thus develop their own special aura.
