  • About the Artist

She graduated in Art History at the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona. Thanks to a Fullbright scholarship, she completed a Master of Arts and Education at the New York University. There Lidya Buzio, a Uruguayan potter, introduced her to ceramics and encouraged her to continue her learning at the Collell Workshop in Montevideo. She learned an approach to pottery from the technique of the burnished engobe, which she has not abandoned since then. Josep Collell, his paternal uncle, painter and ceramist, began to develop this special technique when he entered the Torres-Garcia Workshop in Montevideo in 1950. She was a professor at the School of Art and Design of Vic and is member of the International Academy of Ceramics.
