Anushiya Sundaralingam is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist.  She works in both two and three dimensions, creating paintings, works on paper, sculptures, and installations.  Experimenting with materials, approaches and subject matter is at the core of her practice. Her work is influenced by the notion of a ‘self’ in transition, as well as ideas and challenges related to identity and belonging. Through her work she explores her relationship with the space in which she finds herself, and how natural and cultural environments can shape her sense of self and her connections to places.  She works with a range of media to reflect the intricate and layered nature of identity, belonging and place.

Anushiya Sundaralingam is originally from Sri Lanka and moved to the North of Ireland in the 1990s. She is an associate member of the Royal Ulster Academy and has won awards for her artistic merit. She has also extensively exhibited across Ireland and internationally (Sri Lanka, Australia, Spain, and US among others). Her artworks were often commissioned and are held in private and public collections (including of the Arts Council NI).
