Antonio Franchi was born on June 23, 1968 in Siena. He studied classics, graduated in Law and attended an advanced painting course at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan. He lives and works in Milan and Florence. He starts to design and paint in adolescent in Siena, inspired by figurative themes. He is close to the Master Roberto Corsini, figurative painter, in the Lipari’s suggestive frame, in the 80/90’s. In Siena, in the 90’s, meets Antonio Tropeano, an expert in moderm and contemporary art, informal painter and sculptor, with whom he starts to study the colours.

In 1998 he is in London, where he starts studying informal painting art and in 2001 he is in New York where becomes familiar with American artists. In 2006 meets the Florentine painter Alvaro Baragli and at that time rises the "aerial synthesis", abstract Expressionism inspired by the use of Google Maps and Google Earth. The expression is showed through lit luminosity and coloristic backgrounds supported by an idea of the geometry. In each painting the presence of the subject (the site) is only perceived, proposing to everyone, through the work’s title, his reading and empathy in his own experiences and memories.
