Ahalya's art practice is inspired by the agrarian life and her surrounding environment. Childhood memories also play a vital role and her family, and pets become the central characters in her artwork. The artist is interested in creating a new premise through her narratives than drawing directly from life, whether it’s from travel or a daily sight.
Ahalya belongs to Kerala. She finished her MFA, MSU Baroda in 2021 after completing her BFA from Govt. College of Fine Arts, Thrissur, Kerala in 2019.
