The auction house has defined this evening as "The event of the last 50 years", however, tries to devulge Tanzi's name as least as possible. Titled as «Rediscovered Treasures - Impressionists and Modern Masterpieces from a private collection" the auction and it's catalague are described by Pietro De Bernardi (Pandolfini CEO) in details:

This catalogue, as I mentioned, is another milestone for our organization, it is the first time in Italy that a publication is entirely devoted to paintings and sculptures dating from the end of the nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth, ranging from works by nineteenth-century Italian masters such as Zandomeneghi, Segantini and De Nittis, to French Impressionists - van Gogh, Pissarro and Monet to mention a few, to modern paintings by internationally renowned artists such as Picasso, Picabia and Chagall.

The auction will be presented in two macro lots: the first one is more characterized by the presence of artists from Emilia or Parma, while the other is about incredible presence of national and international names.  Pietro De Bernardi also declares that there are already many expressions of interest from all over the world: United States, Asia and Europe, and also in Italy there are various requests. Indeed, some works will not certainly leave Italy, as "Window of Dusseldorf" by Giacomo Balla (estimated 70.000 - 100.000 euros), "Le Poulailler" by Francis Picabia (estimated 150.000 - 250.000 euros) and "Donna con cane" by Vittorio Matteo Corcos (estimated 80.000 - 120.000 euros), for which the Mibact has not granted the certificate of free circulation by considering all of them of "particularly important in the national cultural interest".
