The billboards have appeared in various areas of Milan: all bearing the face of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.

The slogan is "The leader is coming" or "Follow the leader". It is the first offline step of the new project by the artist Max Papeschi: "Welcome to North Korea".

Papeschi - known for his provocative works, from Bunga Bunga Republic led by politicians likeness porks to the Nazi Mickey - this time he pretended to have been nominated, by Kim Jong-un himself, Minister of International Propaganda of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with the aim to "show the world the glorious soul of the prosperous and powerful nation of North Korea", as stated on welcometonorthkorea.org.

As reported on the site, the project provides for the opening of "a series of temporary store in the world" where there should be sold gadgets with the face of North Korean leader made in the penal colonies of prisoners that in this way "will rehabilitate and purify their souls".

Further details on the artistic project of Papeschi, supported by Amnesty International, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
