Until 30 June 2021, eleven artworks, across diverse media - words, photographs, videos, sounds and lights - will guide the visitor through the discovery, or rediscovery, of the majestic, yet essential, poetic of the Divine Comedy.

Under the artistic direction of Massimiliano Finazzer Flory - the playwright and actor engaged, until July, in the integral reading of the Divine Comedy in the Milan Cathedral - artists such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, Roberto Cacciapaglia, Giovanni Gastel, Michela Lucenti, Alice Padovani, Alice Ronchi, Marco Nereo Rotelli, Patrick Tuttofuoco, Velasco Vitali and two artists “Under 35”, Lucia Cristiani and Matteo Vettorello - selected by Kooness.com- try to reinterpret, directly or metaphorically, the final triplet of Dante's Paradiso.

Working on Dante's themes of love, movement, faith, desire, and focusing on the divine essence that unifies the whole universe, all of the artists involved in the project rekindle the sun and the stars above the CityLife park. Just as Dante wishes, through his language - “visionary, experimental and prophetic", as Finazzer Flory says - to be able to leave to posterity at least a spark of His glory, “L’amor che move il sole e l’altre stelle” infuses the urban space with a poetic allure. Acting in a dimension at the limit of the reality, as this is Dante's Paradiso. Immaterial, invisible, absolutely mystical, Paradise is the realm of pure intuition, as “the nature” in the city space can be. Outdoors, but right in the heart of the city, it is necessary to rethink the relationship between poetry, lyrical messages and the physical space, continuing to trace the fathomless and mysterious trajectory towards a brighter future. Towards another world in which there is no more separation between terrestrial and celestial. From the ground, from the forest, to the sky of the moon, up to the the Empyrean, as in Dante's final journey. We, and the artists, definitely need all that.

The public art initiative “L’amor che move il sole e l’altre stelle” is promoted by CityLife, with the patronage of the Municipality of Milan. The project boasts the collaboration of ARTE Generali, the business unit of the Generali Group dedicated to art collectors of Kooness.com, the Italian online marketplace for art galleries, of IGPDecaux and of the Festival della Parola di Chiavari.
