To Dream, to Collect

The artists selection continues. Kooness is very proud to present an interesting and fine selection of three young Slovakian artists that are booming within the online art world: Marek Jarotta, Robert Tyrnau Lukacovic and Martina Ivičič.

Marek Jarotta, born 1988 in Ružomberok (SK), lives and works in Bratislava. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of Bratislava where he has learned to display movie scenes by using intensively saturated/rich colour as if transformed from television screen to canvas and so creating "picture inside picture". He then created so called "non-places", supermodernity products, anthropological places opposites, spaces without identity, where the subject is lost in the crowd.

The young sculptor Robert Tyrnau Lukacovic was born in Slovakia where he currently lives and works. Robert has studied geology and petrography. For this reason, he started having a passion for the inner essence of stone and other materials in art. His work is full of mystics, symbols, oxymorons, occultism, fantasy, pressure and meditation.

Martina Ivičič is a brilliant young artist who lives and works in Bratislava (SK) and Brno (CZ). She is a painter, a photographer, an art journalist and a digital media theorist. She is interested in merging of art, science, technology and nature. She is also a lecturer at Theory of Interactive Media in Faculty of Arts in Brno.
