Since the Second World War, throughout the last half of the twentieth century until today, Music Recording and Visual Art have developed an interesting collaboration: Vinyl illustrated by the most successful artists of the century.  

The ways in which artists have been drawn to records and their covers as mediums for original artworks is fascinating as much as the link between the two different kinds of art.

For a musician to release an album or a single, it is not only about the music but also about its presentation.
Album covers can burn deep into people's minds, draw their attention and help them to appreciate a band's sounds.

A new exhibition presented by Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco reveals the art world’s most striking album covers, From Picasso to Ai Weiwei, through young contemporary talents.

ART & VINYL: Artist & The Record Album From Picasso To The Present has been curated by Antoine de Beaupré and it will end on the 3rd of March,2018.
