To Dream, to Collect

  • About the Gallery
  • Address
The gallery was established in 2008 by art historian Dr. Gudrun Pamme-Vogelsang. It is located in the heart of Cologne in a listed building from architect Wilhelm Riphahn. The gallery’s programme is dedicated to contemporary art with a special emphasis on conceptual art. The gallery accompanies and represents artists with the focus on a long lasting relationship. Thus we participate on the development of the individual artist and give our visitors the chance to experience the artists evolution. We present artists who push the borders of what art can and may create. Characteristic questions and issues concerning the particular art form, the material / media and the formally aesthetic solutions play an important role as well as artistic statements on global, socio-political current and general events. The gallery presents up to 7 solo and 8 group exhibitions per year. The exhibitions are accompanied by a wide spectrum of events, be it art talks, philosophical discussions, excursions. The gallery participates in art fairs and arranges special exhibitions in museums and similar locations for the represented artists. Recently the gallery has started to create short videos about it’s artists and the special relationship between artist and gallery. The gallery operates an online gallery / art shop presenting contemporary art from about 1950 until today. Another major focus of the gallery is to establish understanding and offer education about art. The gallery hosts workshops, is place for lectures, discussions and talks with philosophers and artists. Integral part of the gallery program are guided excursions to museums / exhibitions / places of artistic interest and one week excursions to explore special locations of artistic / historic interest.
