At Luisa Catucci Gallery, we believe in the power of inspiring art and culture. Based in Berlin, in the new trendy neighbourhood of Schillerkiez Neukölln, just a few meters away from the unique park of Tempelhofer Feld, Luisa Catucci Gallery, is more than just a conventional art gallery; it places itself as one of the fundamental elements of the area’s cultural turmoil. The gallery’s program focuses mainly on art exhibitions, inspired by ecological, social and existential matters, through a variety of media, including photography, video, painting, sculpture and printmaking. Besides the exhibitions, Catucci organises regularly multidimensional events, in order to bind art with talks, culture and enjoyment, supporting the vibrant spirit of the town and the area.
Born in Rome, Italy, May somewhen in the last thirty-year period of the XX century. After her studies in illustration, art and communication design in Rome, Luisa traveled for some years around Europe joining various artistic projects, from theatre to visual art exhibitions. In 2004 she landed in Berlin and stayed. Here she starts curating her first exhibitions in locations rented for the occasion, and started to work as artist with several professional galleries. In 2009 she founded Cell63 artplatform, an exhibiting and working space for international emerging artists and she ran it until December 2016. There the decision occurred to evolve Cell63 into Luisa Catucci Gallery, refreshing the space, as well as the list of represented artists. Since February 2017 she runs and directs her own gallery, where she assures the collaboration with international established and emerging artists of very great talent. She curates an exhibition every month and a half, she takes part in several international art fairs, and she establishes solid collaborations with galleries all around Europe. And this is just the beginning…
