The initial concept of the gallery, opened in the 2006 in Berlin Mitte, was to promote Argentinian artists: however, the fervently cultural activities of the german capital broadened Carrieri’s horizon for new exhibitions on an international level. Many of the projects were realized in cooperation with various cultural organizations, companies, institutions and embassies in Berlin. The multifaceted space at the Torstrasse location allowed the gallery to offer a variety of performances and events that link art to fashion and thus, the gallery quickly became a renowned meeting place for the Berlin scene. In late 2010 the Lucas Carrieri Art Gallery moved to Potsdamer Strasse, an old street with a rich tradition which is today one of the strongest cultural sights of Berlin and since then concentrates its activities exclusively on art distribution. With the re-opening at the new location the steady esthetic proposal of the gallery was renewed and new artists will be incorporated along with new modes of exhibition and cultural promotion.
