Giovanni Bonelli Gallery opens in 2012 in Isola district in Milano. The planning of the 300 sqmt open space is initially focused on Italian figurative painters like Fulvio Di Piazza, Giuseppe Gonella, Agostino Arrivabene, and abstract artists like Davide Nido and Robert Pan. In a very short time the gallery becomes a referring-point art lovers and artists in the city. During the last five years important solo shows by most renowned artists will interchange: Aldo Mondino (2013), Bruno Munari and Daniel Spoerri (2015), Maurizio Mochetti (2016), Gianni Pettena (2017), Antonio Trotta (2017); Mario Schifano and Giulio Turcato (2018); Carla Accardi, Maria Lai, Carol Rama (collective show “Super S.H.E.” in May 2018). The alternation of masters and mid-career or young artists allows the gallery to have an across-the-board overview on the international artistic scene. In 2016 the gallery opened to international partnerships, e.g. collective show “In Space no one can hear you laugh” (April 2016), that allowed to present to Italian public works by: Julius Von Bismarck, Julian Charrière, but also Giuseppe Gallo, Peter Halley, Alessandro Piangiamore, Angelo Filomeno, Jacopo Mazzonelli, and Luigi Ghirri.
