Tommy Lennartsson, born in 1970, is a Swedish artist who creates bold and colorful mixed media canvases. Colour interactions and the interplay of light and darkness are important to Lennartsson. The works are executed in a range of materials such as charcoal, ink, acrylic, pencil, pastel and spray paint. The process is a spontaneous and impulsive one in which Lennartsson layers his materials one upon the other and occasionally stitching elements together until the piece begins to take shape. Because of his intuitive style, no two works are the same and each one explores something fresh and exciting. He is currently living and working in Sweden.
