Shubham's work reflects on the history of serfdom and land politics in his hometown. Images, ideas, and creatures from the artist's native land operate as metaphors in his work, through which he makes sense of the fundamentalist ideological narratives that have been imposed onto the life of the region.

The artist uses painting along with image transfer, installations, and software as tools and mediums to investigate his subject.

Shubham belongs to Bihar. He has done his BVA and MVA from MSU Baroda in 2018 and 2020 respectively.
