Mixed media and Vintage materials

Sara Lovari's work is distinguished by warm colors inspired by the earth and nature. She largely uses polymaterial elements that stand on ancient and precious materials such as nineteenth-century books and geographical maps, concurrently giving life to a picto-sculpture strongly appreciated by critics, audiences and collectors from all over the world.

1979 Avena di Poppi (AR), Italy

Sara Lovari was born in 1979 in Avena di Poppi (AR). After a degree in Economics she moved to England and made her debut as an artist in 2007. Since then, she followed a series of collective and solo exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad.

She qualified as a finalist at the Arte Mondadori Prize in 2014, and also won the "new proposals" section at the Adrenalina Prize in 2014.

In 2015,  she was a finalist for the Catel Prize in 2015 and had a solo exhibition in the Museum of the Etruscan Academy of Cortona (AR) entitled "Les Objects & The Letter-Room". In October of the same year, she was awarded a scholarship to the University of Oklahoma (USA) with "Art Residence Norman USA", where she performed a cycle of works "on site" on the theme of travel.

In 2016, she won the gold section at the Adrenalina prize and participated in the artistic residence at the BoCs Art of Cosenza.

In 2017 she participated to "Scope Miami Beach", "Scope New York" and to the Biennial of the National Weather Center in Oklahoma City (USA).

In 2018, she exhibited with the personal "The search for desire" first in the Castle of Poppi (AR) and later at the Barbara Paci Art Gallery of Pietrasanta (LU), as well as with the personal "Le charme dans le miroir" at the Fidia Gallery of Rome.

Her current works are distinguished by warm colors inspired by the earth and nature, by the polymaterial applications that dialogue on ancient and precious supports such as nineteenth-century books and geographical maps, giving life to a picto-sculpture with assemblage much appreciated by critics , audiences and collectors from all over the world. Sara Lovari lives and works in the province of Arezzo.
