Sanja Milenkovic was born on 17 November in 1983, in Nis, Serbia. At the age of 18 she moved to Milan. She graduated in painting and completed her post-graduate studies in Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Brera in Milan, Italy in 2009. After several exhibitions in different places in Europe (Milan, London and Paris) in 2017 she had the opportunity to become part of the finalist group of artists of Arte Laguna Prize and exhibit at Venice Arsenal. She won two special prizes in this competition: one was artist residency at Espronceda Center of Art&Culture in Barcelona and the second prize was a major solo exhibition at Fernando Santos gallery in Porto, Portugal in March 2018.
