The painting "Luce Dipinta" by Raffaele Cioffi was part of the exhibition "Gemaltes Licht" at the Frankfurter Westend Galerie in 2018. The work inaugurates a new cycle of paintings conceived on the occasion of Luminare, an event that involves the whole city of Frankfurt. In the exhibition catalogue, Dr. Martin Engler, Iris Hasler, from the Städel Museum, writes: "Thus not only do the ephemeral chromatic spaces of Dan Flavin or James Turrell materialize in Cioffi's painting. The vertical lines of colour also echo the cuts in Lucio Fontana's canvases. Cioffi surrounds them with more or less wide monochromatic edges that extend to the viewer's eye even beyond the edges of the frame".
