Mixed technique on canvas

, Italy

Formenti Primo was born in 1941 in Palazzolo sull'Oglio in the province of Brescia, where it still carries out its business.

He began his artistic career in the Parisian environment of the early 60s where he was affected by the cultural ferment, which the artist re-elaborated in a constant research and transformation of color and matter.

In the 70s he joined the “E” group; this is a particularly creative moment, characterized by the choice of a very particular pictorial technique, similar to the fresco that she uses to express basically abstract themes. He thus elaborates various themes, the "Giocando", "The Women", the "Imaginary Manifests", the "Relationships". In this last theme (which lasted from 1987 to 1996) you join the group “Disarmonie Espressioniste”, founded by Daniela Palazzoli and Giovanni Repossi; he succeeds in creating in his paintings well-defined and alternately dominated relationships between color, object and matter.

Very interesting are also the “Steli”, large forms of painted wood, in which a dense chromatic mixture emerges from the evident geometric structure, but at the same time nuanced and almost evanescent.

Since 1997 he has been working on the new theme of "Tales" in which the narrative is purely abstract. In the meantime Formenti is measured with the production of artist's glass where the different chromatic elements converse through decisive lines that weave the texture.

His personal exhibitions are set up in the most important cities, in Italy and abroad: Milan, Venice, Bergamo, Rome, Pesaro, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Vienna, Chicago, Atlanta, Naples, Paris, Brussels, Barcelona, Zagreb, Rio de Janeiro and others.
