A Je Burrneshe

Paola Favoino is an italian photographer. She graduated in Sociology at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a thesis about Albanian immigrant workers in Italy. She also specialized in migration and refugees studies with a master’s degree at the same University. In 2010 she graduated in photo reportage and photojournalism in Rome, where she is actually based. Since 2010 she has committed herself to a long-term documentary project concerning sworn virgins in Albania. To tell about their life’s stories she uses photography, audio recording and video. Actually her work is to put together the various pieces to make a complete documentary about sworn virgins and women’s condition in rural Albania.
