View in a Room

Under a green emerald sky, an antropomorphic figure rides a coloured half-moon, figure that the artist transforms with few traits in a stylized bird. Always experimenter of various and different techniques, Meloniski combines tridimensional details of different kind, in creating an alternation of plastic and dynamic surfaces.

The artwork is signed and numbered P.A. (Proof of artist) on the left side.

1943 Villacidro, Italy

Meloniski was born in Villacidro, in Sardinia, in 1943. He is a painter, a sculptor and a ceramist and his distintive trait consist in using many techniques and in the experimentation of different materials.

His works are characterized by a dreamful and fantastic atmosphere: thin shapes fluctuate in nocturnal skies where sparkling stars shine. We can find in his works bright colours and love for uncontaminated nature of his hometown.

Self-taught artist who travels all over Europe until he sets up home in Paris and then in Milan. In French capital he studies ancient masterpieces, modern and contemporary art visiting the great museums.

Meloniski keeps on looking for the truth. His apparently fantastic works hide great metaphores about human beings and his detachment from nature. Even his love for flight is protagonist of his famous retouchés where also fishes and boats plough magic nocturnal seas.
