Mauro Drudi was born in Cattolica, on the Adriatic coast, in December 1963. As a painter mother and a merchant father, he stopped painting in oil at 7, he stopped making advertising graphics at 15, he stopped running at 20, studying at 21. After completing his military service, he resumed studying and after a few years painting and writing fiction, poetry and literary criticism. In the meantime he graduated in Languages.
He publishes an on-line novel entitled Virata for Fazi Editore and stories, reviews, critical texts and poems in specialized magazines and publishers.
Together with Oliviero Toscani, Marco Morosini and the Balkan musician Goran Bregovich writes for Rai 2 the show entitled "Amen" concerning the three monotheistic religions. In 2002 he began teaching Spanish at the internal school of the Muraglia Hospital, in Pesaro, a center specializing in the care of children suffering from leukemia and becoming director of 'Il Seme', a solidarity cooperative that helps disadvantaged or less gifted people to enter in the world of work.
In May 2003 the "noir" entitled "A day of fishing" was released by Larcher Editore. In the same year he founded the Popular Cultural Association MELODICA which organizes concerts with the best Italian jazz musicians.
Since 2010 he has devoted himself completely to painting, exploring the themes of women from many sides and that of the relationship between Renaissance art and other milestones in the history of world art and our time.
In 2016 "LEI - a pictorial reflection on women" is the subject of the degree thesis at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence. In the same year he began working with the philosopher Andrea Mecacci, professor of Aesthetics at the University of Florence, who wrote the critical introductions for the "Flowers" catalogs of Arezzo and for the wider project "LEI", a project that also becomes the cover of his essay entitled "Dopo Warhol" published by Donzelli Editore.
