1977 Livorno, Italy
Matteo Giuntini was born in Livorno in 1977. After completing his artistic studies, he dedicated himself to the search for his own language through painting, drawing and illustration.
He began his professional career in 2005 in Florence. Since then numerous group and personal exhibitions followed one another in galleries and public spaces both in Italy and abroad. He has collaborated with fashion houses and companies.
In 2014 he illustrated the historic calendar for Mc Cann World Group and Poste Italiane with a circulation of 500,000 copies, while in 2017 the Valentino fashion house commissioned him to create illustrations for the brand in order to use them on its garments.
His works are born from an ironic introspective analysis and play with the intimacy of each of us, creating worlds often bordering on the grotesque. The artist has created the tables for the 2019 calendar expressly for Il Vicolo art gallery.
