Silver Shark Attack

Marica Fasoli was born in Bussolengo (Verona, Italy) in 1977. After obtaining the diploma of Master of Art (1995), she specialized in the Conservation and Maintenance of artistic artefacts on wood and canvas at the Santa Paola Institutes of Mantua. In 2006, she further specialized in Artistic Human Anatomy at the Cignaroli Academy in Verona, where she is now teaching a course on hyper-realistic painting.

During the first years after her graduation, she gained considerable experience in the restoration of ancient paintings, an experience that led her to further refine her painting technique; among the paintings she worked on the most remarkable ones are those by the school of Titian, by Jacopo Bassano and by Cignaroli, as well as the frescoes of the Giotto school damaged by the earthquake in the Basilica of Santa Chiara in Assisi.

In 2002, she gradually abandoned the activity of restorer, so to focus on her main passion: painting. Since then, she had been dealing above all with reproductions of masterpieces, obtaining increasing recognition in the local press.

Moving forward, in 2006, she embarked on an autonomous path that led her to focus on her expressiveness and artistic research on the hyper-realistic figurative sphere.

Finally, from 2016, her inexhaustible need for artistic experimentation led her to detach herself from the figurative and didactic representation of reality, so to experiment the process of creation / destruction of origami, complex and laborious manual constructions that she "destroys" after having constructed.
