About the Artists
1997 Vicenza, Italy
Marco Maculan was born in Vicenza in 1997. He graduated from the artistic high school "Ex Martini" in Vicenza; in 2016 he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, obtaining the First Level Diploma in Sculpture in February 2020. In the meantime, he works as a helper in a carpentry workshop in Vicenza, refining manual skills and practicality. The study of culture and of primitive and abstract art influences his artistic path, traced by symbolic and evocative sculptures. At the same time it is important for him the study of anatomy that guides him in the experimentation of the figure. He took part in two stone sculpture symposia in Bale, Croatia and attended an internship at the professional school of artistic craftsmanship in Ortisei. He is currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in the field of sculpture.
