Loredana Celano (Milan, Italy, 1969). For her quarantine days, the artist developed a special project titled “stayhome” and she wrote: “This is my diary of my quarantine. Not being able to leave my house, I decided to describe trough my camera the apartment building where I live.

Neighbors with whom I used to exchange the simple “good morning” or “good evening” have become my little big world. A world that I look through the grates of my window or doors open.” For our pills we chose The Lazy Sundays to remember that home is, in fact, a special and cosy place.

Each week Rossella Farinotti, our curator, selects 6 interesting artworks on Kooness choosing artists from different generations, mediums, countries and approaches to contemporary art, indicating the reasons why it’s worth understanding the artwork.

I live and work mainly in Milan but my research leads me to travel often. I collaborate with photo agencies and newspapers.

The Lazy Sundays:
an unexpected journey to Donegal

There are places that remain in the heart, engraved in
memory reside in us and never leave us. If I close my eyes I find myself there. One Sunday morning in late March,
the faint sound of the rain, the soft light of dawn, the lazy silence of a day of rest and wet roads.
