Letizia Battaglia is a famous Italian photojournalist. She was born in Palermo in 1935 where she spent most of her career and life.

When she was 27 years old she accidentally met the poet Ezra Pound, this quick acquaintance brought her closer to his poetry that became a great source of inspiration for her entire life.

Letizia will then find work at "l'Ora", a local newspaper in Palermo with which she will collaborate for several years even after a brief experience in Milan in the early '70s.

In Milan Letizia will learn to photograph until, in '74, she will return to her beloved hometown receiving a job offer for a position as head of photography for the newspaper "l'Ora".
