  • About the work

"The resin works that are part of the OloLux cycle are the current result, the result of research and experimentation on light, which I have been carrying out for a decade now.

The recent approach to the use of holographic materials combined with resins, never used together until now in the artistic field, has allowed me to reach the primary objective I had set for myself: that of "incorporating" the light into my works, crowding it inside hemispheres, resin layers or transparent sculptural forms.
Incorporating light to make it the absolute protagonist use it as a primary material and not
as a co-star in the work of art.

In these works of mine of the OloLux cycle, light plays on a double track, the works feed on light, they naturally collect it from the outside, but reflect it and move it inside the work itself, making the flowers bloom. bright colors of light in a kinetic key.

The development of this cycle "OloLux" opens up an infinite space for the enhancement of light as a material, and through the use of steel or monochromatic backgrounds in the works, they acquire a strongly contemporary and innovative character". Giuseppe Portella
