From the studied overlapping of the carvings made by Tentolini, with a meticulous technical expertise, on layers of a material with an impalpable consistency such as tulle, or on paper, on metallic nets and pvc, rarefied shapes emerge from visions, landscape suggestions, urban views , captured by the photographer's photographic shoot, subtracted from the communicative chatter of contemporary society and the incessant flow of time. From the stratification of the depths, crossed by the light, the various levels of chiaroscuro that shape the faces' physiognomy, the volume of the architectures, the anatomy of the male and female human bodies, or the busts of the ancient classical statuary. The artist's intangible images exist only in a consistency of light, made possible only by getting lost in an observation that does not follow the rational logic of the cognitive parameters with which we perceive reality, provoking doubts and questions about the true consistency of the human being. impossibility of fully grasping the essence of reality. It is up to us to choose whether to lose ourselves following the complex articulation of the spatial planes, retracing the constructive process of the image, or trying to rationally reconstruct its unity to grasp its subject. His training takes place in the framework of the Graphic Arts at the Istituto d'Arte Toschi in Parma and continues with the graduation in Design and Communication at the Reggio Emilia Project University. From his professional experience as a graphic artist and photographer he derives his analytical approach to the image that leads him to break it down into its constitutive elements, stratifying it into planes of vision that are recomposed into an ideal perceptual unity. At the beginning of the 2000s, his first experiments marked the chiaroscuro levels of physiognomies, anatomies and natural elements in the superimposition of surfaces of various materials, such as plexiglass, acetate or wood, divided into strips, to arrive, in 2014 -2015, to shape them by cutting and overlapping layers of tulle. By the will of the critic Paul Malone, these works will be exhibited, between 2007 and 2009, in London, Amsterdam and Berlin, where he also presents silhouettes of characters scanned in the depths of the paper, as well as human bodies born from the interweaving of regular forms on a pvc network. After the works Kairos / Kronos (2007), where the figure emerges from the layering of carvings on layers of wire mesh, is selected for the 2008 Edition Biennial of Europe and the Mediterranean in Bari, his work acquires an international visibility that he was invited to exhibit at the Gift Gallery in London in 2010. In 2012 he won the Rigamonti Prize, as part of the San Fedele Foundation Visual Arts Prize in Milan, the Absolute First Prize of the Nocivelli Prize and the San Fedele Prize. In 2014, he exhibited at the Palazzo Reale in Milan and at the MAR. Museum of Art of the City of Ravenna which acquires one of his works, as, in 2016, the MuSa di Salò. In 2016, the Galleria San Fedele in Milan is hosting its solo show, as well as the Paratissima Torino exhibition, as the winner of the Absolute First Prize of the previous edition. The final result of his research, the works realized on layers of wire mesh, earned him the Special Prize of the International Arteam Cup Contest 2016, promoted by Espoarte magazine, on the occasion of which he exhibited at the Palazzo del Monferrato in Alessandria. In 2017 he exhibited at the MAR, alongside masters such as Mirko Basaldella and Lucio Fontana. He has participated in Art Athina, Art Vilnius, Artefiera Bologna, Art Verona. In 2018 he is finalist of the prestigious Cairo Prize, curated by Arte Mondadori Magazine, and, in October, one of his works made of wire mesh was exhibited in Palazzo Reale in Milan.
