Filomena Borecká is a multi-disciplinary artist whose main themes are concentration and breath, both individual and collective. This last theme is the main source of inspiration for the penetrable and sound sculpture PHRENOS.

By appealing to the senses of sight, hearing and touch, and by relying on the multiplicity of synesthetic modulations, Filomena plays on both the physiological and symbolic levels.

Her sculptures have been presented at the CACLB Luxembourg 2019, the Circulo de Bellas Artes museum in Madrid during the solo exhibition Fugacidad, as well as at the Queens College Art Center in New York, where she created a drawing in situ "How often you feel your breath...".

In addition to this, she has had numerous group exhibitions: Jeune Création at the Centquatre in Paris, at the Couvent des Cordeliers in Châteauroux during the Biennial of Contemporary Ceramics, the international festival of contemporary sculpture "Escaut. Rives, dérives", Biennial of contemporary drawing Watch This Space, Salon Montrouge, La Nuit Blanche 2012 - Salle des Mariages, Marie XIème Paris, etc.

Filomena Borecka is a member of the ADAGP.
