Emy Thiran is an artist, educator, designer and art writer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She received her BFA from the University of Bridgeport,
Connecticut (USA), Masters in Visual Art from University of Malaya and later a PhD in Art History from University Sains Malaysia. She has been teaching
design, visual art studies and art history in various universities while freelancing as a graphic designer. She is the author of Living Art: The Inspired Lives of 14
