“The focus of my artistic work is the exploration of the material oil paint. My works oscillate between abstraction and figuration, between figuration and materiality. Parallel to my objectively accentuated way of working in oil on canvas, object and installation, I am currently concentrating more on creating works on paper. This way of working finds its origins in my architectural painting and, in an even more reduced form, is dedicated to the pure materiality of oil paint and its support.”
