Surreal-looking catastrophe scenes, color battles and machine worlds - these are the passionate themes of the young painter Benjamin Burkard. Machines or machine parts are often given the shape of animal or human beings, technical and biomorphic pictorial elements merge. Destruction and coincidence are part of the pictorial invention. Masterfully painted, fascinatingly ambiguous, irritating worlds of images that sometimes appear enigmatic and theatrically staged, but always contain something playful and humorous. Benjamin Burkard was born in Kandel / Palatinate in 1986 and has already received numerous awards.
