Work by Italian artist Antonio Massa.

The main subject of the work is a cook, whose face we cannot discover, however, as it is covered by a green apple suspended in midair. The reference is an explicit tribute to the master Renè Magritte, as can also be seen in the title. The bright colors and pictorial style frame this work in line with Massa's artistic production and research.

The silkscreen print of the acrylic work "cooking with Renè" is hand-signed at lower right and numbered at lower left 97/150.

1955 Terni, Italy

Antonio Massa is an Italian artist, born in Terni in 1955.

Since his youth he has been a great lover of art and of drawing in particular. During the 1970s he decided to devote his career completely to art, beginning to participate in both national and international exhibitions and reviews.

His style is characterized by the use of a palette always charged with bright colors, capable of bringing life and energy to his pictorial creations. Massa's is a painting on a human scale, his imagination lovingly and voluptuously giving us the bearer of his art, with the grace of simplicity freed from that late romanticism that is not for those who live in our age. Many of his works are in important public and private collections. He currently lives and works in Sorrento.
