Amy Hashim (born in 1971 in Kota Bharu, Malaysia) is an artist creating paintings in both digital and traditional techniques. Where she grew up, a few local artists were painting on the 1st floor of her parent’s house in Kota Bharu. The house is not far from the South China Sea which influenced a lot of her work. A lifelong painter, her career as an artist began in her teen when the first art was sold. A graduate of Business Administration in University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), she continues to pursue other artistic classes and received a Certificate from University of Oxford, UK.

She started her artistic career in the United States with her fellow artists' friends. As an oil painter, she loves to utilize generous and unsuppressed oil paints using a combination of finger and knife techniques that allow her oil painting to appear impressionistic or expressionistic.
