Alain Soucasse is a postwar and contemporary artist born in 1951 born in the Pyrénées, France.
After his studies at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Aix en Provence between 1967 and 1971, with Vincent Bioules and Jean Claude Imbert as teachers, he worked for three years at the Atelier Gruber and Le Chevallier in Paris, specializing in stained glass windows.
Between 1974 and 1981, he moved to Stockholm (Sweden) and taught painting and stained glass window in Konstfack and Medborgarskolan. In 1981 he went back to France, specifically in Aix en Provence.
