Xavier Caille

My work investigates the way in which we look at the aesthetics of things as it presents itself to us. I lookto show the aesthetic potential of familiar elements by arranging them differently. I thus unfolded twenty spaces and monuments in Paris to give them a new appearence: a new but familiar appearence, giving a sense of deja vu. Nine of these linocuts are exposed at the Salon des Beaux-Arts 2022. The following year, I rearranged a color chart, giving it another look as well. I love showing that there are all kinds of hidden beauties inside even common objects or techniques. This reorganized color chart has been exposed at the Carrousel du Louvre, during the Art Shopping fair of 2023. I have studied computer programming, then I specialized in optimizing the transmission of knowledge to remote training organizations. I work as an artist when time allows.
