Xavi Ceerre is an artist born in Alcoy, who lives and works in Barcelona. His main medium is painting, but he also uses other languages ​​such as programming, music or installation.

 

He has completed the Master's Degree in Painting, taught by the University of Basque Country - Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea of ​​Bilbao. His work has been exhibited individually at the Galeria Neuheisel (Saarbrücken, Germany), the Carles Taché Gallery in Barcelona, ​​the Juan Manuel Lumbreras from Bilbao and El Espacio ZAWP (Bilbao), among others. and in several collective exhibitions in spaces such as the CC Urgell in Barcelona, ​​the Espai 13 in the Fundació Miró, the Tecla Room, Piramidón Center d'Art Contemporani (Barcelona), Bilbaoarte or the Espronceda Art Center (Barcelona), and more recently, the Het HEM in Amsterdam, Reckless Contemporary in Miami, the Gr_und gallery in Berlin.

He has organized and curated different collective projects, such as the exhibition interactive virtual Quarantine Gallery, in which 29 artists participated National and international. O Seriot, in which he collaborated with a total of 7 artists Barcelona. He is also part of the Okela network of artists in Bilbao.
He has participated in festivals such as MIRA Digital Arts Festival BCN, LOOM Festival BCN, Ús Barcelona, ​​Urban Skills (Alcoy) or Ex Abrupto (Tarragona).
He has carried out artistic residencies at ZAWP (Bilbao), Bilbaoarte, Piramidón Center D'Art Contemporani de Barcelona, ​​Fabra i Coats (BCN) and Nautilus Lanzarote.
His work is part of different public and private collections in Spain, Peru, Switzerland, England, the Netherlands or the United States of America. Among them stands out the acquisition of a large-format painting (5.2 x 2 m.) by the Bacardí Company which currently hangs at its headquarters in Spain.
