  • About the Artist

Victor Cord'homme is an artist born in 1991 from a French father, a decorator in the cinema, and a Danish mother, a painter.

He spent most of his childhood between a village near Chartres and Als, a small island in the south of Denmark.

He graduated from the Beaux Arts de Paris in 2017 with honors and developed his artistic work in the studios of Dominique Gauthier in painting and Tadashi Kawamata in sculpture.

This apprenticeship will allow him to associate painting techniques with those of sculpture such as forging or ceramics. Initiated to travel since his youth and nourished by his experiences in Southeast Asia, he imagines installations inspired by his travels and his daily life, making the link between the different forms of artistic expression he uses.

Each sculpture, each painting has a precise role to play in the exhibition space. Symbols, motorized sculptures and colors work to present the essence of a world, poetic and light synthesis or incarnation of the spectator's imagination. This is also the case of his latest research at the Grandes Serres de Pantin, which gives rise to interactive sculptures, with solar panels and sensors, which react directly to elements present in the exhibition space. His paintings, dystopian universes marked by the anthropocene, represent the exploration of subjects such as the conquest of space, the protection of the environment and overconsumption by placing the human being at the heart of his reflections with joy and lightness.
