Vasa Mihich

Vasa Mihich is a renowned Los Angeles-based artist known for his sleek, colorful and captivating acrylic sculptures. He is a Senior Professor of Design at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he has taught color theory for many years.  For nearly 50 years he has been working in acrylics, whether on canvas or through sculpture.  

His sculptures, with their different geometric planes suspended in acrylic, are dynamic and endlessly fascinating. Caviar20 is excited to be offering this impactful and impressive desktop sculpture. 

This minimalist sculpture is a paradigm of Mihich’s ongoing investigations of light, color, and negative space. These key optical characteristics are present throughout his oeuvre. 

After dedicating years of his career to education, Mihich now commits himself fully to his studio in Los Angeles where he continues to push the potential of sculpture with the acrylic medium.
