Valérie Poupon is a French artist, born in 1962, who is currently living in Paris. She is a draftsman, whose drawings are inspired by Cézanne's work around Mont Sainte Victoire and by her origins. She uses the subject of the tree as a symbolic vehicle during her travels. Moreover, with her work she tries to express her personality by drawing faces that caught her eye and nagged at the back of her mind. She works exclusively with Indian ink.
