Francesco Tricarico was born in 1971. He is an Italian singer-songwriter and painter. He began his musical career at a young age, graduating from the Milan Conservatory. His first single CD entitled Io sono Francesco was released in 2000 and it proved to be an authentic success: he was awarded a platinum record, recognitions and nominations (as “Best Song of the Year”, at the first and second edition of the P.I.M. He participated in the 2008 Sanremo Music Festival with a song entitled Vita tranquilla and won the Mia Martini critic’s award. His new album, Giglio, was later released. Tricarico went on to present the song called Il bosco delle fragole during the 2009 Sanremo Music Festival, which he composed himself. He has always painted and in March 2016 staged an exhibition in the historical Jamaica showroom in Milan; the exhibition showcasing his latest production, both on canvas and on paper, entitled Da chi non te lo aspetti, inspired the creation of a song bearing the same title that in turn was the title of his latest recording released in November 2016.
