Stoz is the new wunderkind of Italian street art. Born in 1998, the young Marco Stazzini, alias Stoz, is a rising star of street art and his work is sought after by collectors from all over the world.
Born in Milan and having studied at the famous Brera Academy, this contemporary artist's paintings are popular in Europe and his sales are booming especially in the US, as numerous collectors are buying his art online.
His great success is mainly due to his peculiar universe. Color plays a main role in this graffiti artist's work. He uses a lively color palette to translate his strongest emotions. His gradients give viewers the feeling of depth and force. Some of his paintings might remind you, with their colors and compositions, of stained glass. As for the artists who inspired him, the most important influence is that of JonOne, visible in his graffiti pieces. The influence of some other legends of XXth century art, such as abstract expressionist artist Jackson Pollock or the underground genius of the '80s, Jean-Michel Basquiat, can also be felt in his works.
This emerging artist has a multi-faceted body of work and employs numerous media. Stoz uses mixed media, combining acrylic paint and ink in his paintings. He is also known for the women torsos he covers with the same patterns as his paintings, creating surreal, exceptional beings, always imbued with poetry. These works have suggestive titles such as "Supernatural Safari Woman" or "SuperHero Woman".
