Born in Bologna in 1982, Sara Berti graduated in 2006 as a sculptress at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. She currently lives and works in Sharjah, after having worked for a period in Izmir, Budapest and Berlin. Sara Berti is widely known for her solid artistic and theoretical techniques. Her artistic pratice brings together her Italian origins along with new international cultures. She has received numerous awards in Europe and the Middle East. In 2011 she was amongst the most renowned artists and represented Italian art in Hungary for the Italian Pavilion of the 54th Venice Biennial.
