Pratik's art practice is focused on stories of migration and its effect on humans and their surroundings. Having lived in both a small village and a city, he started to observe a relationship between the two very contrasting yet similar urban and rural landscapes. The similarity in the patterns formed by herds of sheep and goats moving in a particular direction and people walking in a city. The artist showcases this relationship in a metaphorical interpretation of how people migrate from their country homes to the city in order to study and earn a living.

Pratik completed his BFA and MFA from Sir J J School of Art in 2018 and 2020 respectively. He was born and brought up in Maharashtra and was recently awarded the Hundai Art of Hope grant 2022.
